One of the strangest situations in MLB in recent weeks has been Anthony Rendon and his refusal to give reporters an update on the injury that has sidelined him since July 4.
Rendon, who has been on the injured list for nearly two months, though officially due to a bruised left shin, told reportersthat his injury is actually a broken tibia. However, he said he did not know why the Angels had not told anyone of that diagnosis.
Sam Blum of The Athletic noted that the Angels have previously stated that the former All-Star's injury was not a fracture, and that it appears to be moving from a player vs. media conflict over the injury to a player vs. team conflict.
Rendon's condition was something of a sideshow in the Angels' clubhouse, where he went to extraordinary lengths to avoid offering anything noteworthy to media outlets about leg injuries and other issues. Anthony Rendon asked him how his wrist was doing.
"I have two," he said, holding his wrist up as he left the clubhouse.

When asked how he was feeling today, Anthony Rendon (shin) replied "not here" and left the clubhouse.

Anthony Rendon was the first reporter in the clubhouse today for this home stand.
But he said he was on the "dead list" and did not need to be interviewed.
Therefore, there is no update on his injury.37]

Anthony Rendon, when asked for an injury update, said "No habla inglés today."
He replied.
He then put on a hoodie and left the clubhouse.

As the team gave Rendon a seven-year, $245 million contract after the 2019 season, it's not what you want to see and it's not what he once was"boring. " didn't help the third baseman's reputation for not being interested in baseball, which he once said "boring.
